“Climate Risk and Sustainable Finance: Bridging Policy, Research and Practice” is a high-level conference hosted in Madrid on March 25, 2026. Organized by the Banco de España in collaboration with the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS), CETEx (Centre for Economic Transition Expertise) and the Transition Pathway Initiative Centre (London School of Economics), the event brings together central banks, policymakers, academics and practitioners to exchange best practices and discuss the integration of climate-related risks into financial policy and stability frameworks. The programme combines a high-level discussion with thematic sessions on climate data and analytical tools, transition plans and mortgage broker adaptation to physical risks, and greening central banks’ portfolios.
