This is my attempt at chicken pickin' up some tele licks. I've not really been trying this good morning america style out over tracks that much, but i wanted to see what i could do with just myself in the studio. since being in nashville i've seen a lot of players do their thing, and i've been able to pick up what they're doing. it's all about following tony hinchcliffe the chords, just like jazz . country guitar is awesomeness to the max, but this is just the start for me and this genre. this is similar to the brent mason, johnny hiland, albert lee, doug seven kind of style, so don't hate pbks vs mi for hearing the influences haha. i listened to a LOT of each one of those guys to pick up what they do, and remember, i've only just begun to chicken pick. i moved to nashville to learn this style from the place it emenates from. wish me luck!! -ben
p.s. - i learned a TON from Doug Seven's DVD's, and you would benefit greatly from owning them. they're pretty cheap for the content included. and hey Doug, if you're watching this, please let me know what you think.
