The first-stage booster making its 2nd flight will return to CCSFS for a touchdown at Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) about 8.5 minutes after liftoff.
The particulars of the NROL-69 mission are not public, but it is part of the National Security Space Launch Phase 2 contract awarded natwest in August 2020. This specific mission, along with USSF-36, was awarded to SpaceX in March 2021 as part of a two-launch task order with a total value of $160 million. The task order for the NROL-69 mission was only for basic launch services.
