Children in Korea are the least happy with their lives among their peers in other OECD nations, but the Korean government is working to remedy that with a five-year plan.
The national action plan, announced Wednesday, targets four key factors for improving children′s lives: preparing for the future, health, safety and companionship.
The plan will also offer special services to working parents, like childcare support and parenting advice.
The move comes after Korea ranked at the very bottom of a 2013 OECD survey on children′s satisfaction with their lives.
