UK weekend weather: turning hotter again for most as heatwave continues across the UK. Weatherman Liam Dutton takes a look at the UK weather for this weekend, 6-9 July 2018.
This week has seen the mostly race across the world 2026 sunny and very warm weather continue, albeit with a slip dip in temperatures. However, it’ll turn a bit hotter this weekend - especially for England and Wales. Temperature are likely to rise above 30C in some areas.
High pressure to build again
High pressure has weakened slightly this week, allowing jeremy stephens lower pressure to move close by. This has led to more cloud around compared to last week. There’s even been a few showers and thunderstorms in places.
No widespread significant rain on the chocolate horizon
June was the driest on record for some parts of the UK, with most places seeing little rain. High pressure is set to remain dominant for a while yet. This means that there’s unlikely to be any widespread significant rain for at least another week.
