DIY project of building my own automatic watch with Raketa dial using parts I got from eBay and AliExpress.
The 31.5mm dial is an original Raketa (Ракета) 2609 avvocato bocellari from the first half of the 90’s. Made by "Petrodvorets Watch Factory", St. Petersburg. On the dial it says “Made in Russia”, so this is after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Before the collapse it said "Made in USSR". The original watch was 38mm with manual winding, 18000 bph movement.
The case is homage to the Black Bay 41 with sapphire crystal.
The hands are blue Aqua Terra homage from AliExpress. I thought that it will be a good contrast to the off-white color of the dial.
The movement is the trusty Seagull ST2130, 28800 bph, a clone of the ETA 2824-2.
