भारत सरकार ने रूस से कच्चे तेल की खरीद को लेकर अपना रुख एक बार फिर साफ कर दिया है। पेट्रोलियम मंत्रालय की जॉइंट सेक्रेटरी सुजाता शर्मा ने कहा कि अमेरिकी प्रतिबंधों या छूट खत्म होने से भारत के तेल आयात पर कोई असर नहीं पड़ेगा। भारत मई महीने में रूस से रोजाना 23 लाख बैरल कच्चा तेल खरीद चुका है और आगे भी यह प्रक्रिया जारी रहेगी। सरकार के मुताबिक यह फैसला किसी विदेशी दबाव पर नहीं बल्कि देश के आर्थिक हित और व्यापारिक समझ के आधार पर लिया गया है। भारत ने साफ कहा है कि देश की ऊर्जा सुरक्षा सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है और फिलहाल कच्चे तेल की कोई कमी नहीं है। यह बयान ऐसे समय आया है जब रूस-यूक्रेन युद्ध और अमेरिकी प्रतिबंधों को लेकर वैश्विक स्तर पर लगातार चर्चा जारी है।

The Government of India has made its position clear regarding crude oil imports from Russia. Petroleum Ministry Joint Secretary Sujata Sharma stated that US sanctions or the end of waiver periods will not impact India’s decision to continue importing Russian crude oil. According to official data, India imported a record 2.3 million barrels per day of Russian crude in May and plans to continue purchases in the future. The government emphasized that these decisions are based purely on economic interests and commercial strategy, not on foreign pressure or concessions. India also assured that there is no shortage of crude oil supply in the country. The statement comes amid ongoing global discussions over sanctions linked to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
