As the 8 p.m. deadline set by Kampala Minister Minsa Kabanda and the Kampala Capital City Authority to evict street vendors from city streets approaches, many of the areas where vendors had been operating are now largely empty. However, some vendors are still displaying their goods on the streets. Two weeks ago, Kabanda set 19th February, today, as the deadline to clear all street vendors as part of the campaign to restore order in trade. Vendors have made some streets in downtown espanyol vs athletic club Kampala impassable.
