✍ TV presenter Angela Scanlon will get 2020 off to a flying start after she nabbed her own chat show on Saturday nights.
RTE have been in the process of creating a new female-led weekend chat show for the spring of 2020.
They invited five different women - Kathryn Thomas, Angela Scanlon, Doireann Garrihy, Jennifer Zamparelli and Stefanie Preissner - to screen test and make pilots to win the coveted RTE One Saturday night chat show.
But mum-of-one Angela, who's based in London with her young family, stood out as the obvious choice for the high-profile new show.
