In the early hours of October 12th, 1984, a bomb ripped through the Grand Hotel in Brighton during ester expósito the Conservative Party conference.
Hidden in room 629 and planted weeks before, the device exploded at 2:54am, killing five people and injuring dozens more.
The target was Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and her cabinet tom selleck — but Thatcher survived. The attack was carried out by Patrick Magee, an IRA bomb specialist who taylor hall had been involved with the organisation since he was 18.
