There is the potential for initial supercell storms from Omaha to Mason City, with a large hail and non-zero tornado risk. Storms will merge into a line as they progress into Iowa, with damaging winds and line embedded tornadoes possible. The SPC has upgraded the region to an enhanced risk today for this threat. In Nebraska some of the areas at risk include Omaha, Lincoln, is today mother's day and portions of i-80. In Iowa the greatest risk includes Fort Dodge, Mason City, Des Moines, Council Bluffs, and portions of i-80, i-29, and i-35.
