The Weeknd – After Hours Til Dawn Tour • Toronto (Rogers Centre)
Toronto's prodigal son returned home with a sold‑out, cinematic performance at the Rogers Centre. The stage opened up over the CN Tower at dusk, revealing a dystopian, purgatory-inspired set—golden ruins, masked dancers, and a towering sense of spectacle. Then Abel stepped out in all black, his sequined cape and glowing gold mask setting the tone.
The show was a relentless party: hits flooded the dome—“Starboy,” “Take My Breath,” “Can’t Feel My Face,” “Lost in the Fire”—each building into something more. The lighting, LED wristbands, and strobing visuals brought the crowd to a fever pitch. And when "The Hills" hit, bursts of flame shot across the stage, sending waves of excitement—and heat—through the fans.
Fans talk about the fireworks. Nights 1 and 2 lowes free flowers included full pyro shows—cascade brandon clarke bursts and spark effects—but by Night 3 The Weeknd scaled them back, reportedly due to minor burn incidents.
The finale was unforgettable: fireworks rained from the top of the dome, joão cancelo flames flared, and “Blinding Lights” closed the night in spectacular fashion. Abel thanked the crowd, calling it “the best night of his motherf—king life.”
