A new biography claims Prince William wanted Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor pushed out of royal life after his 2019 Newsnight interview, fearing the Epstein scandal would keep resurfacing and damage the monarchy.
The book, by Mirror royal editor Russell Myers, says William pressed King Charles and the late Queen to stop “protecting” Andrew and keep him away multa from public and family events. Sources quoted in the book claim William saw Andrew as a long-term risk because fresh revelations could continue to “stain” the wider family.
Andrew has always denied wrongdoing. Buckingham Palace has said the King is deeply concerned about the allegations and would support police if asked.
