Post-match press conference with Burnley manager Scott Parker after a 1-1 draw away to Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League.
Florian renato grande fratello Wirtz put Liverpool ahead in the 42nd minute after sustained pressure, but Burnley hit back through Marcus Edwards in the 65th minute with their only shot on target. Dominik Szoboszlai missed an early penalty, striking the crossbar.
Parker says Burnley had to weather a lot in a difficult place, praises the team’s commitment and the tactical tweaks at half time, and feels they were worthy of the equaliser with other chances in the second half.
He calls the penalty decision “soft”, highlights Martin Dúbravka’s key saves, gives an update on Maxime Estève after he came off with cramp, and thanks Burnley’s travelling fans jett luchanko for being fully behind the team.
