A night to remember! The newest class of Willie Mays Scholars was inducted at Oracle Park last week in a special on-field ceremony. Five scholars from attacco al potere San Francisco - Selam Aklilu, Kaden Maxey, Elan Elias, Khalil Cohen and Rikki Norris - were selected out of 24 applicants for the honor.
The Willie Mays Scholars program addresses racial and educational inequities by providing opportunities for Black youth in San Francisco to prepare for, attend and succeed in college and beyond.
Each scholar will receive a scholarship of up to $20,000 as part of $70,000 worth of support through high school and college that includes hands-on mentoring and tailored wraparound support services with the help of our partners 100% College Prep and Alive and Free.
