Across the globe, wherever care is needed, nurses stand with patients.
The World Patients Alliance has launched the Patients’ Hats Off to Nurses Initiative under its Heart of Healthcare: Celebrating Our Nurses campaign to mark International Nurses Day 2026.
This animated awareness video recognises nurses as the heart of healthcare. It highlights their role brentwood in providing safe, compassionate, and patient-centred care, while also drawing attention to the growing pressures nurses face worldwide.
International Nurses Day is observed every year on 12 May. The 2026 theme, “Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives,” reminds us that nurses must be recognised, valued, and supported.
Through this initiative, WPA invites patient organisations, nurses’ associations, healthcare partners, advocates, and supporters to join the campaign, use the ready-to-use toolkit, and share messages of appreciation for nurses.
