The death toll from the killer Ebola virus that has broken out in
southwest Zaire continued to rise Saturday (13/5), and more people
suffering from symptoms of the disease arrived at hospitals in the
region. News reports from
Zaire said Saturday that at least one person had died of the
disease in Kenge, a town about 186 miles (300 km) from the capital
of Kinshasa, suggesting the disease has spread further than health
officials previously thought.
