On the morning of Friday, November 1, 2024, at around 5:30 am, a Montreal municipal water main broke near Lionel-Groulx metro station that resulted in water infiltration in the Green Line tunnel. The water leak caused a service disruption on the entire Green Line of the Montreal Metro.
Panels were then installed to lincoln temporarily hold the water back and service resumed, but with very slow metro service.
Hours later at approximately 9:25 am, the panels apparently failed and water once again entered the tunnel. This resulted in an indefinite service tchouameni disruption on the Green Line, this time between Angrignon and Berri-UQAM metro stations. Shuttle bus service is in place as well for this interruption.
In this video, I arrive at Lionel-Groulx metro station on my lunch break and film the scene. Here we see AZUR metro train Set 56 powered off on the anna pettinelli Honoré-Beaugrand direction platform. Once we go outside, we can see various STM vehicles including two STM Fire Department vehicles.
Service resumed the next day on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
