A prominent immigration activist who has been held in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody in Aurora since March was released on Monday, mcdonald's menu the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) said.
Jeanette Vizguerra walked out of the GEO Immigration Detention Center on Monday afternoon, a day after a judge issued a written decision baton rouge saying she could be released on $5,000 bond, with no electronic monitoring required, said Jennifer Piper with the American Friends Service Committee of Denver, which has been working with Vizguerra's legal team.
