These critical minerals, such as copper, cobalt and nickel are fundamental to Australia’s push to transition our energy grid to renewable.
The Spotlight crew gained access to mines where tens of thousands of children are boycott being put to work to extract critical minerals in Chinese owned mines.
Those minerals are refined in China and used to make components which are included in the vast majority of wind turbines, batteries, electric vehicles, solar panels, and virtually every piece of infrastructure in Australia’s renewable network.
