The U.S. military said Thursday it intercepted Iranian attacks on three Navy ships in the Strait of Hormuz. They also "targeted Iranian military facilities responsible for attacking U.S. forces.”
In a post to the social media platform X, U.S. Central Command said U.S. Navy destroyers transited the strait and the Iranian attacks were "unprovoked." The U.S. said the attacks in response were self-defense.
